Meet Our Team

Advanced Care Practitioners (NPs, PAs)

Physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) are members of our medical staff and help manage your plan of care. They may perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses, record symptoms and help to develop and implement a treatment plan including medication and other therapies.

Case Managers

Case managers are registered nurses who work with your care team to identify the support you will need after discharge. They make sure your at-home caregiver is prepared for your discharge, provide information to your insurance company, and help arrange for services following hospitalization.

Chaplain

The hospital’s chaplain, supported by pastoral care volunteers, offers spiritual guidance and pastoral care for you and your family. Our chaplain uses the insights and principles of psychology, religion, spirituality, and theology to support patients of all denominations.

Clinical Laboratory

Our laboratory team includes pathologists, medical technologists, clinical lab technicians and phlebotomists. The team conducts testing on specimens and samples that are ordered by your physician and evaluates the results to assist in making a diagnosis and monitoring your health.

Hospitalists

A hospitalist is a doctor who provides care for patients when they are admitted to a hospital. They have the same education and training as your primary care doctor but specialize in providing hospital-based care. Hospitalists help lead the medical team and coordinate care, including examinations, ordering tests and procedures, and prescribing medications.

Housekeeping—Service Associates (SAs)

SAs are responsible for patient escort and transport, maintaining supplies and equipment and the overall appearance of the facility. SAs ensure that your room is ready, cleaned, and stocked with the correct equipment and supplies. They will often be an initial point of contact for you and your family for non-clinical needs.

Nutrition and Food Services

Registered dietitians, executive chefs and our food and nutritional care team will assess your dietary needs and recommend fresh foods that are nutritious and delicious. We offer a room service menu for inpatients, as well as dining options in our cafeteria and coffee bar for visitors and outpatients. We prepare our food with high-quality ingredients and accommodate vegetarian, heart-healthy, sodium-restricted, diabetic, gluten-free and Kosher diets.

Patient Advocates

Patient Advocates can assist you and your loved ones in many ways, from talking about anxieties related to your visit to answering questions and resolving problems. Patient Advocates help facilitate communication with the care team and identify resources to support you and your family members.

Patient Care Associates (PCAs)

PCAs make sure you are comfortable. Their duties include changing sheets and assisting patients with walking, bathing, dressing, eating, or getting in and out of bed. They also obtain specimens, record your health concerns and symptoms and check your vital signs.

Pharmacists

Licensed registered pharmacists work with our medical and nursing staff to consult on your diagnosis, examine your chart and conduct evaluations to recommend a course of treatment, choose the appropriate dosing of medication and evaluate its effectiveness.

Physicians

Our medical staff includes hospital-based physicians who work on our campus and voluntary medical staff who see patients in private offices within the community. Our medical staff of over 700 professionals covers primary care and virtually all specialties, and works with other staff members to develop your plan of care and monitor your health.

Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)

RNs and LPNs will assess and identify your medical needs and work directly with you and your loved ones to ensure that we are meeting your healthcare goals. They will implement and monitor your medical plan and treatment and oversee your day-to-day care to ensure you are comfortable, healing, and informed of your plan of care.

Rehabilitation (Physical) Therapists

Depending on your diagnosis, a rehabilitation therapist may be part of your care. Our licensed physical therapists will design an individualized treatment plan to help you transition from the inpatient setting to other levels of care. Whether the goal is to speed recovery, decrease pain or return to activities, physical therapists provide education, support, and motivation.

Respiratory Therapists

These specialized healthcare practitioners are trained in critical care and cardiopulmonary medicine. They work with patients who have acute critical conditions such as cardiac disease and pulmonary disease.

Social Workers

Licensed master social workers or licensed clinical social workers address health-related social needs that impact your overall well-being. They work with you and your caregivers to address any mental health or substance abuse concerns and provide emotional support or counseling for those with chronic, terminal or mental health diagnoses. They also assist with identifying community resources to supplement your medical plan of care.

Technicians and Technologists

These professionals work in a variety of departments including surgery, medicine, imaging (CT, MRI, X-ray, nuclear medicine) and the lab. Depending on your care needs, our technologists, and technicians may administer tests and treatments within your room or in procedural areas throughout the hospital.

Volunteers

Members of our community generously donate their time in various departments throughout the hospital. Our compassionate volunteers have a large and lasting impact on our patients—whether it’s offering a friendly face, delivering flowers or helping a patient feel less anxious.
