We observe quiet hours to help your loved ones rest. Quiet hours are from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. We always strive to provide a calm, quiet environment for rest and healing, but sleeping well in a hospital can be difficult.
To help you rest and heal, we offer a Quiet at Night Menu that includes services to provide comfort, a restful environment, personal care and snacks. Press the call button to let us know how we can make your stay more quiet and comfortable.
Personal sound amplifiers are available for hearing-impaired individuals. Call Patient Advocacy or the nursing supervisor.
Spiritual care at Northern Westchester Hospital provides emotional and spiritual support to patients, families and hospital staff. The spiritual care team includes an interfaith chaplain and volunteers who work with physicians, nurses and other caregivers.
Spiritual care may include responding to crises; assisting in the resolution of ethical questions regarding patient care; contacting pastors, priests, rabbis or other religious representatives as requested; and providing ongoing spiritual support. You don’t have to belong to a specific faith or even consider yourself religious to receive spiritual care. Call 914-666-1914 for more information.

Volunteers Visiting Veterans is a program where a member of our Northern Westchester Hospital Veterans Committee will come and speak with military veterans while they are in our care. For military veterans facing difficulty in the transition from active duty to civilian life, Northern Westchester Hospital has teamed up with ProVetus, a VA-certified mentorship program. ProVetus ensures that the veteran’s basic needs are met as they adjust to civilian life, increasing their well-being, mental health and ability to explore their leadership potential in their new community. Call the volunteer department at 914-666-1925 for more information on our veteran services.
Volunteers provide support throughout the hospital and give thousands of hours each year to enhance the care of patients and their loved ones.
